What you may not do on Emerald, numbered so that a notice can say exactly which rule it means.

Draft. These rules form part of the terms of service, which has not been through legal review. They describe how Emerald is built and intended to operate.
When Emerald suspends an account it has to say what triggered it and which rule is engaged. A number is something you can look up and disagree with; “prohibited use” is not. So each rule below has an identifier, and a suspension notice will cite it.
The numbers are fixed once published. A rule that stops applying is struck out rather than renumbered, because a notice sent last month has to keep meaning what it said.
Using Emerald to launder funds, or to turn items obtained through fraud, account theft or a reversed payment into money.
Listing items you do not own or are not entitled to sell, including items bought with a stolen payment method or taken from a compromised account.
Paying with a card, wallet or account that is not yours, or that you are not authorised to use.
Opening a payment dispute on an order you received and kept. Disputing a charge you believe is wrong is your right and is not this rule; keeping the item and taking the money back is.
Listing, buying or cancelling with the purpose of moving a price rather than trading at it, including trading with yourself across accounts to set a reference price.
Holding more than one Emerald account, or using somebody else’s. One person, one account. If you have lost access to an account, contact support rather than opening another.
Transferring, renting or selling an Emerald account, or advertising one for sale. An account is tied to the person who opened it and to the Steam account they connected.
Knowingly taking advantage of a pricing error, a race condition, a bug or anything else that lets you obtain items or money the system did not mean to give you. Finding one is not a breach; using it repeatedly, or at scale, is. Report it to support@emeraldskins.com and you will not be penalised for having found it.
Scripting or automating access in a way that makes Emerald slower or less reliable for other people, including scraping at a rate a person could not produce.
Attempting to reach accounts, data or systems that are not yours, whatever the method.
Presenting yourself as Emerald or its staff anywhere — Steam, Discord, a website, a trade offer. This is the most common way people on this kind of marketplace are robbed, and it is treated accordingly.
Threatening, harassing or abusing other users or Emerald staff.
Evading an age limit, a region restriction, a withdrawal restriction or a suspension, including by opening a new account or using somebody else’s.
It depends on the rule and on what actually happened. Emerald may reverse a trade, restrict withdrawals, hold items, or suspend the account. Items and balance are held, not forfeited, and the suspension procedure in the terms sets out how you respond and what the outcomes are.
If you think a notice cites the wrong rule, reply to it. That is what the numbers are for.
If you have been targeted by an impersonator, offered a trade that looks wrong, or found a bug that hands out money, email support@emeraldskins.com. Reporting a flaw you found is not a breach of PU-8 and will not be treated as one.
